International Reggae and Dancehall Superstar Melekel lands on Brooklyn’s Reggae and Dancehall chart as “Mighty Trinity” debuts at No.1 for the listing dated November 23. The Deejay’s new release marks his first appearance topping the non-metric chart, which fuses social media likes, saves and shares from popular platforms, radio airplay, and numerical data from other calculations. The charting of “Mighty Trinity” marks a milestone third top 10 for Melekel, who released the hit single through the independent Mansion Life Records LLC after he and his preceding label, Tekem Records, amicably parted ways, ending a four-year relationship.
During the tracking week of November 6-12; episode three of The 5 W’s in Reggae and Dancehall Music Podcast, which features “Mighty Trinity” generated multiple official U.S. downloads, according to Buzzsprout and in its initial publication, the single registered over 500,000 audience impressions. Elsewhere, “Mighty Trinity” enters at No.5 on the Hit Prophecy Chart, securing Melekel’s third visit to the top 10.
