Birthwater signs to ByrdHouse for their sophomore LP!
Birthwater is back!!! I’ve been dying to hear the 2nd LP from these boys for a very long time now, and finally catching up with Jordan (Vox, Guitar) one night at The Saint got us talking ideas, and I’m thrilled to be the one to put this release out. It’s so crisp, yet so reverberated. So calm, yet so in your face. This record flourishes with dynamics, and is filled with amazing long drawn out epic parts, to catchy as hell hooks. One of my favorite aspects to this album has always been a constant in this band; Corey’s bass playing is phenomenal, always has been. He’s been known to write riffs that just grab you by the balls. Brett’s also on the top of my list for favorite drumming style around our area. The dude is so tight and in the pocket, but always adds just enough of flavor to his beats and fills. He is so much fun to watch live, and adds so much more to the music than you would think. Tony & Jord both work together so well sonically from the guitar standpoint. The lush reverbs sparkle this record, and the pulsating tremolo riff makes High Times stand out, it’s one of my favorites.
All in all this band is just so tight, and this is a wonderful record that sounds downright badass. Damp Future is set to release Tuesday, July 8th, but you can click below and pre-order the digital copy right now, it comes with a instant download of Cleanse the Stone. We are scheduled to also release this on cassette, which that pre-order will be up later this month!
