Tell us about your music.
My music is a reflection of my journey through life, as I write from a place of darkness where I am the light. My intention is to shed light on the truth as I discover it, with the aim of inspiring, uplifting, encouraging, and empowering those who listen.
I find myself drawn to a blend of R&B, Pop, and Electronic genres, although I often blur the lines and incorporate elements from various styles. This allows me to create a unique sound that resonates with both my personal artistic vision and the emotions I seek to evoke in my listeners.
When it comes to the themes I explore in my music, romantic love holds a special place in my heart. I enjoy delving into the complexities of relationships and capturing the various facets of love through my lyrics and melodies. Additionally, I am passionate about addressing the truth and confronting obstacles head-on. I believe in the power of resilience and personal growth, and I strive to convey these messages of strength and triumph through my songs.
Ultimately, my music serves as a platform for authenticity, vulnerability, and self-expression. My goal is to touch the hearts of others, offering a glimpse into the human experience and providing a source of solace, hope, and inspiration. When did you start performing?
I began my professional performing career in 2015, after accumulating several years of experience on stage as a professional model and actress. This background provided me with valuable skills and confidence that I carried over into the music industry. One of my early highlights was the opportunity to open for R&B singer, Mario.
Throughout my journey, I dedicated myself to continuous learning and growth. I immersed myself in the study of voice, songwriting, and various aspects of the music business, such as public relations and advertising. This knowledge helped me navigate the industry more effectively and shape my artistic identity.
Networking played a significant role in my journey as well. I connected with fellow artists, producers, and industry professionals, allowing me to broaden my horizons and explore different genres of music. Additionally, I embraced opportunities to travel, immersing myself in diverse cultures and drawing inspiration from the richness of these experiences.
After several years of success in the modeling industry, I made the decision to pursue music full time, driven by a deep passion to create and make the world a more beautiful place through my music. Since then, I have dedicated myself wholeheartedly to my musical craft, honing my skills, refining my sound, and connecting with audiences who resonate with my message.
Every step of my journey has led me to where I am today, a music professional committed to sharing my unique voice and making a meaningful impact through my art. I am grateful for the opportunities I’ve had, the lessons I’ve learned, and the support I’ve received along the way.

What do you consider to be your hometown and how does that affect your music?
I’ve always considered Arlington, Texas to be my hometown. Growing up in this region of America, I was exposed to a unique musical atmosphere that has undoubtedly influenced my sound. The popularity of Gospel and R&B music in the area, along with the notable presence of artists like Erykah Badu and Kirk Franklin, played a significant role in shaping my inclination towards smooth and sultry sounds, as well as uplifting and inspirational songs.
Attending a school that offered the opportunity to learn an orchestral instrument further broadened my musical horizons. I developed a love for orchestral music, which often incorporates ethereal and fantasy elements. This diverse exposure to different musical styles has enriched my creativity and allowed me to experiment with various sounds and genres.
Being in Texas, where guitar music is deeply ingrained in the local culture, has also left its mark on my music. I find myself drawn to acoustic R&B, with the guitar playing a prominent role in creating soulful and melodic vibes.
While my hometown and its musical influences have shaped my artistic journey, it’s important to note that my music is not confined to any particular geographical or cultural boundaries. I draw inspiration from various sources and aim to create music that transcends specific backgrounds or affiliations.
On a personal note, I’m not particularly patriotic, but I do appreciate the diversity of musical styles and influences that have come together to shape my unique sound.
In a laid-back way, I embrace the beautiful blend of influences from my hometown and beyond, allowing my music to reflect the richness of experiences and styles that have shaped me as an artist.
What performers have been your inspiration?
When it comes to performers who inspire me, I have quite a few favorites. One artist who has had a profound impact on me is India Arie. Her warm and uplifting lyrics have been a source of strength for me during difficult times in my life. Her music has a way of helping me rise above obstacles and find inner peace.
Another inspirational figure for me is Sade. I absolutely adore her smooth and gentle approach to music. Her sultry sounds and her inclination towards love and empowerment in her songs have always resonated with me. She’s truly an icon.
In terms of more recent inspirations, Xavier Omar is an artist who has made a lasting impression on me. His angelic male vocals and beautifully crafted lyrics create such a captivating listening experience. I find his music both soothing and deeply moving.
Of course, I can’t forget about the legendary artists who have left an indelible mark on the music industry. Boyz II Men, Donnie McClurkin, and above all, Whitney Houston, have all been sources of inspiration for me. Their immense talent and the emotions they convey through their music are simply unmatched.
These are just a few of the performers who have inspired me along my musical journey. Their artistry, passion, and ability to touch hearts continue to motivate me to create music that resonates with others.
What do you base your success on?
For me, success is all about the profound impact my music has on the world. When I hear stories of how my songs have moved people to tears, inspired them to make positive changes, or helped them love themselves better, it truly motivates me to keep going. Knowing that my music is making a difference is the ultimate measure of success in my eyes.
On a more material level, success is also reflected in the constant flow of energy and currency exchange. As I receive greater compensation for my art and performances, it serves as a reminder of how much value the world places on what I have to offer.
Ultimately, success for me is a combination of the emotional and the practical. It’s about touching hearts and minds with my music while also recognizing the tangible appreciation and support that comes my way.
What was your latest musical release?
My latest musical release is titled “Glowing.” It’s a track that emerged from a personal experience that left me feeling a bit anxious about how society perceives me. You know how it is when people start taking your picture or filming you without permission, and everywhere you go, you catch people staring as if you’re some kind of alien in town. It can be a bit overwhelming, you know?
But then, in the midst of expressing these feelings to my husband, he dropped some truth bombs on me. He reminded me that all those eyes on me were actually a recognition of the light and beauty that resides within. It was a moment of realization, both for me and for others, that we all have this incredible glow that deserves to be acknowledged and celebrated.
So, “Glowing” serves as a gentle reminder for myself and anyone who listens to the track. It’s a reminder to embrace our own unique radiance and never forget the power and beauty we possess, no matter how others may perceive us.
Do you have any news to share?
Thanks for asking! I actually have some exciting news to share. Earlier this year, I discovered that two of my songs from my debut album, Spread Love, made it to the #4 and #5 spots on the iTunes Netherlands R&B/Soul charts. It was such a pleasant surprise and a big boost of motivation for me. I’m truly grateful for the unexpected fans who connected with my music in the Netherlands, and I’m even considering making a trip there to show them some love in person.
In addition to that, I’ve been hard at work on my sophomore album, Me Time. It’s been an incredible journey of self-expression, growth, and exploration, and I can’t wait to share it with everyone. I’m aiming for a release next year, and I’m putting my heart and soul into every aspect of this project.
