After establishing himself with a flurry of fresh and alluring releases with former band Hendrick Lane in past years, fast-rising Irish alt-rnb artist S.t Jae is now looking to cement his legacy to date with the latest entry to his solo catalogue. Titled “Back4U,” the new single captures the complexities and nuances of modern-day relationships whilst taking us on a rollercoaster of emotions that come with intense passion and love.
Speaking on the inspiration of ‘Back4U’, s.t jaé commented ” If you’ve ever been in a modern-day relationship, you know that it’s not always easy. There are so many distractions, so many things that can pull you away from each other. I want to show that relationships are not always easy, but that there is a certain thrill and excitement that comes with pursuing someone you’re crazy about, even if it means going through ups and downs, twists and turns”
Adding about the creative process, he explained “It was a process that required patience, dedication, and a willingness to experiment and try new things. In the end, the final product was a unique and fresh sound that captured the essence of my brand and style.”
Born in Lagos, Nigeria, and raised in Dublin, Ireland, where he developed a passion for music from a young age. He made his radio debut at 16 and went on to form the group “Hendrick Lane,” achieving over 2 million plays on Spotify to date. In 2021 he decided to embark on his solo journey to make more music that reflected his personal experiences whilst still resonating, inspiring and uplifting his audience. Pushing the boundaries and challenging traditional views of love and commitment using a fusion of different genres. He has been described as a risk-taker and visionary artist who paints vivid pictures of his reality whilst taking inspiration from his multicultural roots and culture.
