Jimmy Haggard Releases Warm Me Up – A Hot New Summer Album

Eugene OR, USA, Press Release: July 13, 2021. For Immediate Release

Jimmy Haggard announces a new album with a new line up of musicians, bringing high-energy Blues that pulls Funk, Rock and Country into a smoldering onslaught of Blues-Rock. The new album came together while hiding out and staying safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. For over a year, with few shows available, the Jimmy Haggard Band got together in an old tool shop that was converted into a private recording studio. Warm Me Up is a self-produced album that was released just as the historic heat of an early summer hit the USA West Coast.

Warm Me Up brings together eight original songs that push the limits of Blues.

• Warm Me Up: Hard driving funky Blues
• Goodbye Old Friend: Straight up Blues-Rock tribute to Johnny Winter
• Born In the Backyard: Tight, hard hitting Blues
• Need Your Lovin: Get your Texas shuffle goin’
• Two Steps: Hittin’ the Blues with a little pop
• Life Is For Living: Bluesy Texas shuffle pushed to the edge of Country
• Before I Had You: Bluesy Bluesy Blues
• Boogie Til’ We’re Free: A rocking smash-up of Boogie Blues and Country

The musicians in the Jimmy Haggard Band are:

Jimmy Haggard: guitar/vocals – Jimmy is an internationally acclaimed blues-rock musician with five albums to his credit. His music receives international airplay, and has charted in the top 10 on blues charts in the USA and Europe. Jimmy has traveled around the United States’ West Coast and Midwest, lived in Los Angeles California for over 20 years, landed in Raleigh North Carolina for 10 years (where he started a recording and rehearsal studio – Haggard Studios) and finally settled in Eugene Oregon, playing in honky tonks, clubs, bars, roadhouses, grange halls, performance halls and festivals along the way.

Chris Kliemann: keyboards/piano/organ – Chris is a veteran keyboard musician out of the Seattle Washington blues scene, who now hails from the Southern Willamette Valley in Oregon. While in Seattle, Chris received the BB Award for Best Blues Keyboards and was a member of a band that made it to the finals at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis Tennessee for Best Self-Produced CD.

Doug Outt: bass – Doug plays bass, fretless bass. He can play frets too. But, when you can make a fretless bass sing, you can play whatever you want. Doug has played in several bands in Oregon over the past 30 years. There are stories of lore and magic, when, once upon a time, Doug was in a Los Angeles band that won a battle of the bands in Los Angeles and was a regular on the Los Angeles club circuit.

Martin P. Buckson: drums – Martin was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. He relocated to South Carolina in 1983. While based out of South Carolina, Martin worked with several bands touring the East Coast, performing in bars, venues and festivals. In 2004, Martin moved to Oregon where he continued to perform in bars and casinos. Influences; John Bonham, Neil Peart, Alex Van Halen and Ian Paice, and too many more to list!
