Jay D’Andre is a new and upcoming artist, I’m reluctant to include a genre as he spans multiple sounds. From Hip Hop, to R&B, Alternative, Folk, the list just goes on. Not yet known outside of his own community yet, but on March 11 however this will all change. He will be dropping his newest single “Take Me With You” , a feel good funky bop, that I feel can bring a shift to the current underground sound of music, and provide a breath of fresh air.
This song was the culmination of many jam sessions, and recordings. As it came together those who had heard it immediately fell in love with it, and couldn’t get the song out of their head. A very catchy earworm of a song, which I feel especially as we transition into the spring will be a great soundtrack for the season.
“This is the one” uttered Jay and his roommate Jeru Qadar, the bassist of the song, as they listened to it for the first time a year ago today in its entirety.
This song was created last year and a year later it is ready for release, it went through a few changes, but all changes to enhance the qualities of the track.
I truly believe you’ll be hard pressed to find anyone who can resist moving even a single limb while listening to this funky cut. If you happen to be one of those people who can’t resist I hope you make the decision to spread the good energy.
