How long have you been making music and how did you get started?
I started as a drummer in a Punk Band in the mid eighties of the last century, a really wild colorful time as far as I can remember. There were a lot of little red and black stars from east Europe in the scene – real acid from Poland and Chechoslovakia, dope from Lebanon and Afghanistan – better cut that 🙂
Who are the other members of your band?
That depends on the Project I perform with. I couldn’t play and hear only one music style – I like many styles and so many different projects. But one that’s always with me is Uschi Gras, a female computer and my cat Amanda.
What genre of music do you usually perform?
Hmm, from avant garde to ambient to dub to weird jazzy house back and forth
Not using typical genre classifications, how would you describe your material?
My music is wired, exciting and with rhythm – short enough?
Who is your inspiration?
The sun and the bee – you and me. Some time ago, I thought most inspiration comes from sex and drugs. Then I stopped using drugs and inspiration is still there. That was a great experience. Yes, inspiration comes from everywhere. Some years ago George Bush and Brian Eno inspired me to an album called “My Life as a Ghost of Bush” So you see everyone can be good for whatever.
What was the name of the last song that you wrote?
I made a double Album this year called “Electronic Tantra FushiMushi Meditation” and most of the Songs have Tantric Names. Search for “Sponghiosum” or “Bartholino”… I like those secret meanings. Many of my songs have very private meanings and codes that are understood by only close friends.
Who or what inspired you to write that song?
Let me speak from the whole Album. Its all about Energy – around you and in yourself. I don’t want to talk too esoteric but energy is the Thing – and sexuality is one of the biggest power plants that can give it to u. So maybe my Music is the Soundtrack for this energetic give and take.
What new things do you have going on? A CD release, tour,etc?
I made some videos to “Electronic Tantra FushiMushi Meditation”. Free on Youtube, Myspace… Some vj’s asked me if I could make a special vj edition in a better, beamable quality… Eventually some club gigs with another friend of mine from London who plays drum and bass in an Indian style…we’ll see.
Are you working on anything new?
Can’t live without working on something new. Really need it every day. I was in Outer Mongolia few months ago and brought some material from there. Maybe those eastern influences become a part of my twentieth album that hopefully comes out in December or January.
Where are some of the places that you have been playing?
I played snooker in the Gobi dessert last year …lost against some Uigurs.
Another great place and very friendly peeps I found in Bombay, now called Mumbay… I was juggling there for money. Did I mention that I’ve played chess in Alice Springs and won?

What words of wisdom do you have for other musicians who are just getting started?
No wisdom but a joke:
Musician goes to a doctor. Doctor does some medical exams and says then with some dramatic tone in the voice: “Boy, I’m sorry but it seems as if u have to live only one more month,” Ey cool Doc, the Musician says, but from what?
