Indie Artists New Album
Indie hip hop artist, Matthew Reid, is prepping to release a new album this fall and has recently released a single titled, “Amor”. Matthew Reid is a rapper and songwriter from Houston, Texas. A former University of Houston student, Reid blends genres such as Psychedelic Rock, Dream Pop, and Alternative Hip Hop. His newest album titled “Matthew Reid’s Dsyfunctional Adulation”, is a concept project that he has been crafting since January of this year. The album centers around the themes of Jay-Z’s “Reasonalbe Doubt”, the expansive imagery of Tame Impala’s ” Lonerism”, and the subject matter of Andre 3000’s “The Love Below”. Reid’s intention is to exhibit how juggling a fast paced music career and deep commitment such as long term relationship can be detrimental to a persons mental state.
“Matthew Reid’s Dsyfunctinal Adulation” is set to for release on October 15th of this year. He intends on releasing it on his own personal music company PWE, with his musical contributor and friend, Luis M.
