GE24LD or who is usually called Gerald, this Klaten-born rapper started the beginning of his journey in the world of hip-hop music since 2014 when he joined a rap group
WES’D and already uploaded some of his own songs on SoundCloud, and he’s getting started serious solo career in 2019 until now. By the time GE24LD decided to solo career, he began to pursue from the production to writing lyrics, until this very moment The GE24LD still often does it on its own from production to release.
Fake Smile became GE24LD’s first EP in early 2022 which was released on January 28th. His complicated love journey and his uncertain turmoil made GE24LD express his feelings in his first EP containing 4 songs with 3 previously released tracks and 1 new track titled “Hurt Me Back”. In In this first EP project, GE24LD collaborates with 2 rappers, namely Pabu Ochall and RASED, all the songs on this EP were produced by MADLOW, with the same artwork polished by Trigga Coca and also the support of his brothers at ORSA GXNG. In this EP GE24LD presents a different color of music than he has ever made, namely Emo Rap.
This “Fake Smile” EP, GE24LD took about a year to working on the music, because there are other activities outside of music, so GE24LD is enoughtake a while until the results are really mature conceptually and colors to be released, and “Hurt Me Back” being the newest and last song on this EP.
“You hit me on my phone I said I’ll call you back, I heard you on a phone that you want me back”, said the lyric of the song in the chorus.
This EP was released under the auspices of Creamy Bvrger as the record label, now the EP “Fake Smile” can now be heard on various digital streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, Joox, iTunes and video visualizer already live on YouTube.
