Phoenix, AZ based record label collective, MT Threat Productions, is proud to debut the unmatched ukulele-punk energy of Sarah Familiar’s first e.p., “Words Worth Your Time”. The album’s assortment of accompanying instruments and fast-paced punk style showcases an eclectic sound ranging from fast and hard to soft and sweet. The emotional vocals are carried throughout the album by the appearances of piano, strings, xylophone, some distorted uke, and more. Officially out October 2nd of 2020, “Words Worth Your Time” is full of great songwriting surprises. The first single, “Empty Plate, Empty Girl” debuted on youtube September 4th with a stop-motion style lyric video.
This release is part of launching MT Threat Productions, a brand new DIY music collective Sarah is active in, that aims to create, promote, and distribute cool DIY music & merch that contributes to important causes. Every piece of music and merch produced or promoted by MT Threat will have a portion of the proceeds devoted to charity. MT Threat crowdfunded $1000 to launch a first batch of records and merch and donated a portion to Phoenix Allies for Community Health, a local free/low-income clinic focused on aiding marginalized communities.
