Authentek Release Shaka – Trans-Am – MI-6 12″ Vinyl On FutureMusic Imprint

Authentek Release Shaka - Trans-Am - MI-6 12" Vinyl on FutureMusic

New York, NY – Feb 7, 2023 – Electronic music pioneers, Authentek return with three enticing new releases on the FutureMusic label. The releases are available for streaming on all the major platforms, as well as 12” vinyl from your favorite record store.

Eschewing computers and staying entirely in the analog realm, Authentek composed each song with only outboard instruments and gear. No samples or digital synthesizers were utilized, giving each original song an organic intimacy that speaks directly to the soul. That said, with evolving melodies and baselines, the tracks stay fresh upon repeated listening and provide a cerebral energy that keeps minds fully engaged, while bodies can’t help but move to the intricate rhythms.

“Shaka” comes to us with a Main Mix that showcases the dark side of Progressive House with a cinematic trip to the fringes of sound that will have you questioning your existence. Not for the meek. The Sensifeelya Mix provides more rhythmic circuitry delivered by vintage drum synths of the ’70s and ’80s. Not has heavy as the Main Mix, it provides a nice bounce and a melodic bass line to keep you grooving. The Crackhouse Mix is that perfect song for bringing it all home at 4am. Deep, thoughtful and seductive, it’s a track that will never sound dated or lose interest, even after repeated plays.

“The first time I heard ‘Shaka’ the sun was coming up and everyone just stopped. Everyone just put their arms around the person nearest to them and smiled blissfully as the track summed up their glorious evening. Nobody wanted that moment to end. It was magical.” –Karen Wright, FutureMusic

“Trans-Am” is a tribal progressive house excursion with a groovy bass line and a big hook that defines the term, “ear worm.” Finally, MI-6 was born of of the question: how is all the electromagnetic pollution floating around affectedly how humans are evolving?

Finally, “MI-6” was born of of the question: how is all the electromagnetic pollution affectedly how humans are evolving? In other words, do we actually know what influence all the radio, microwave, Wi-Fi, television, cellular, power lines, etc. floating all around are having on our minds and bodies? A big question indeed, but one that the multiverse answers if they had James Bond at their disposal to take on the most evil villain with intellectual charm and rhythmic mayhem.
