Thanks so much for having me.
What inspires you to work in this industry?
Tough question. I would say that my inspiration comes from various things. Being able to speak my truth through a form that I’m passionate about inspires me on a daily basis. I also get inspired by my fans and several radio friends many of whom have been playing my music for years. Most importantly, I’m inspired by what I haven’t accomplished yet and what I’m able to give back to my craft.
If you could pass on one message to your fans, what would that message be?
Carpe diem and be kind to each other.
What is being heavily played on your music playlists right now?
I’m actually listening to a lot of different genres and styles at the moment. I’ve been looking for some new female independent artists for my radio show, “Mixing It”. Let me tell you, there are some awesome undiscovered artists out there!
What is one thing you’ve had to learn the hard way?
Patience and accepting that you have to walk before you can run.
What milestone are you working towards in your career right now?
With the creation of my new organization Sisters In Music and our SIMRadio Network, I’m hoping to build a legacy of sisterhood amongst women in the performing arts while giving back to those in need. It’s hard work balancing my own music career while building our mission, but the end result if we’re successful will be so worth it.
What is your favorite snack?
Warm Cinnamon Apples
What makes you feel most alive?
Songwriting and performing live.
