(NASHVILLE, Tennessee) — Beloved country music icon Collin Raye has announced the release of his latest single, "Undefeated," which is available exclusively at iTunes. Written by Collin and his daughter Britanny, and produced by four-time SESAC Writer of the Year Regie Hamm (Lonestar, David Cook, Clay Aiken), "Undefeated" marks a new chapter in Collin’s storied career.
"The past year has been a trying time for my family, but my faith has carried me through and made me a stronger person," explains Collin. "In the midst of those trying times, my daughter Britanny and I wrote ‘Undefeated.’ It was truly a gift from God as the lyrics came to us almost quicker than we could pen them."
Earlier this year, Collin lost his granddaughter Haley, Britanny’s daughter, who suffered from a serious neurological brain disorder that was never diagnosed. Collin wrote about his enduring love for Haley in the modest hit "She’s With Me," from his 2009 Time-Life release Never Going Back, which was nominated for Country Album of the Year at the 2010 Dove Awards. "Undefeated" completes that story and offers hope for the future.
Since his debut in 1991, the ten-time Male Vocalist of the Year nominee has recorded 11 studio albums (5 certified RIAA platinum) and charted 30 singles on the Country Chart, with 15 #1 singles, including “Love, Me,” “In This Life,” “My Kind of Girl” and “I Can Still Feel You.” Other hits include “Little Rock,” “What the Heart Wants,” “That’s My Story,” “Little Red Rodeo,” “Someone You Used to Know,” “Anyone Else,” ‘Couldn’t Last a Moment,” “I Think About You” and “The Gift” (with Jim Brickman and Susan Ashton), which won a Dove Award in 1998 for Country Recorded Song of the Year.
In the past year, Collin has appeared on The Tennis Channel’s Community Surface, The Today Show, CBS Early Show, Fox News Channel’s Huckabee and Hannity, The Morning Show with Mike & Juliet, Better TV and more. For his latest tour schedule, please visit the official website at www.collinraye.com.
