The second single from Zoe Scott’s first foray into Bossa Nova is the serene love song, ‘Wave’. In the 1960s, Antonio Carlos Jobim said, “The first recording of a song is the seed from which the song will grow.” On Shades of Love, Jobim’s grandson Daniel lent backup vocals to Zoe’s rendition of Wave, bringing the seed to fruition once more for new audiences. The song itself is a blissful love song, bringing a fresh sound to the bossa nova tones which Zoe loves so much.
