Los Angeles, CA (December 2011) – Are you ready for a new sound? The Sanctuary Worship Team is stoked to release their first and highly anticipated album, Reveal. Reveal is the first of its kind with a unique sound that can only come from a one of a kind church. This is The Sanctuary’s first release through Dream Records and Universal Music Christian Group.
Pastor Jay Haizlip, a professional skateboarder and preacher, leads the Sanctuary Church whose slogan is A Real Church for Real People. The Orange County church has attracted a rapidly increasing crowd over the years from the Hollywood/Los Angeles area.
Their first official album Reveal features music that is quite diverse, ranging from gospel to contemporary worship music. Three of the songs are written by Samuel Smith, including the work that shares the album title “Reveal.” This song was inspired by a group of young people who wanted God to reveal His plan and purpose in each of their lives.
Lead singer and worship leader Pastor Scott Smith leads the Sanctuary Worship Team. The Sanctuary’s members on the album consist of Pastor Scott Smith and Lexi Searles on lead vocals, Steve Gonzales and Samuel Smith (Scott’s son) on guitar, Ian Gonzales (Steve’s son) on the drums, Doug Wayne on the keyboard and organ and Greg Parmam who created the horn arrangements.
Third generation missionary to the Native Americans, Pastor Scott has been involved with ministry work from a young age, traveling with his parents throughout the US and Canada. He has led worship for 20 years and has worked with the International Worship Institution, traveling to places around the world such as Greece and Argentina spreading the word of God.
