Kansas City, Missouri —
Artist/Producer Justin John Scheck is back in May with a new album, the second concept album in a series of four, entitled The Evening Years: Dance Songs for the Lonely. It’s an experimentation with Electronic Music and Grunge and Dance Pop. It is he second in the series The Blue-Collar Diaries.
This is his most adventurous album sonically yet, creating sounds from scratch and leaning on the drums to carry us through from track one on thru to the end. The album is available for preorder on Bandcamp exclusively, and will drop there May 1st, 2023. The album streams everywhere May 11th, 2023. Shows will follow in Kansas City, Mo and Chicago, Il.

Continuing his experimentation with an MPC, electric guitar, midi keyboard and computer he is blending Hip Hop, Indie Garage Rock, and Indie Pop Production styles. The album is a collection of love songs and dance songs. Love lost, love found, love pined for. It is a walk down memory lane for the artist, and a bit of describing a summers day in the midst of winter. “I’ve been a hermit for a while so love is a memory for me.”
JJS is also partnering with Hope House in Kansas City, Missouri, a Non-Profit organization serving the community by helping victims and the children of victims of domestic violence. All the proceeds from these albums will go to Hope House.
So all told it is thirteen songs coming in at just under an hour of rip roaring emotion. If it doesn’t move you than perhaps you’re not listening. I for one did, and my heart is broken and overjoyed all at once.
