Swedish Pop duo A.G.A. announces their debut single Alone

Alone is the first single release of the Album Twenty48, released in August 2020 The theme in the song Alone is about how old love never fades. About how words, tunes and promises linger on, and the sense of vulnerability when moving on.

A.G.A. was formed when Annika Isaksson and Gerda Lundberg at the age of 20 were playing as street musicians in the Old Town of Stockholm. The pop duo was discovered by EMI, who recorded their songs, and A.G.A. played intensively that year, in clubs, bars, and live on the radio. Despite a record deal with a major Swedish label, these songs were never released on an album. Until now …

…when opening an old box of cassette tapes, one recent night in Copenhagen, the idea of the album Twenty48 was born, and a winding time travel started for the duo. A.G.A. wanted to give the pop songs the love they had always deserved and were curious how their original songs would sound with the musical skills they have developed today.

In the music, which is all performed by the duo, the darkness in life is mixed with excitement and optimism – contradictory and stirring, and in the very meaning of the word, timeless pop.
