So excited to start THIS book! We share first names. When I reviewed the book, I noticed there’s a download that comes when you purchase the book, so I clicked on the link and downloaded the uh… Download.
Good information to start with. I read it first, and took some notes, then started on the book. I have to be super honest here… I was hoping for a fun read. Saturday morning and I didn’t want to have to think a whole lot, but then I started reading, and realized not only was it a fun read, but this writer had some serious captivation skills, because my usual fast read had me kicked back in my chair relaxing and enjoying the book.
When she started with “prosperity is your birthright” I knew we were on the same wave length, and my adoration grew from there.
Janet shares her story. A gripping life of adventure, reality, and stresses that most of us have dealt with at one point or other, and more… She talks about the processes she used to overcome the problems. She shares her story. That’s the key to this whole process. Building relationships by sharing something of value that allows you to totally relate to her as a person, at the core of existence, she reveals it all in the early chapters and allows you to see her humanity.
That was profound!
Then she reiterated the opportunities that came out of her adventure of life. From the challenges, she found the options she could choose that would lead her to stronger, better opportunities.
When she mentioned the Dale Carnegie course, I thought about how many people I know who are totally successful who have taken that course. Almost everyone who takes it advances their careers, or business.

Solutions for burnout, stress, and depression were discussed as part of the process of meeting challenges, and solving problems. The fresh common-sense approach to life with a son who continually spurred her on spoke to me. I have four children who were my inspiration for continuing to get up again and strive for success. The beautiful good feelings that come with doing things as a family can be profoundly inspiring. And learning common sense solutions, then applying them, and sharing them for others – that is my heart.
Faith is huge in her story, which was so relational to my own story. I have to say, I related to Janet from the start of this book, and her story resonated throughout the book. Every step of the way, I recognized factors that not only met the need of a family surviving the struggles of facing very REAL problems that life hands you, whether you’re part of the decision that brings these challenges or not, can be huge when you’re seeking ways to survive, or thrive through the next phase.
I find it ironic when I read through these pages, finding that the same quotes she references, and posted in the manuscript of her book, are posted in various framed graphics around my home, or tacked up on sticky notes to my desk, or computer monitor. I’ve used many of them in my own writing as inspiration for articles, or fodder for content. The concepts she espoused throughout this book resonate with me, and I’m certain they resonate with many others who have struggled to overcome life problems and challenges.
I would definitely recommend anyone with a life adventure outside the normal plan read this book and study the directives that help Janet find success, stress free! Her story is compelling, candid, and real. I appreciate her transparency.
5 stars. Not only was it well written, but the story was compelling to read, and offers solutions that can be integrated into lives of those who read it.
