Stacey Jackson Shines With Anthemic New Single ‘Closer To My Dreams’

Award-winning singer-songwriter, TV presenter, and entrepreneur Stacey Jackson is set to delight audiences with her next sensational pop offering, ‘Closer To My Dreams’, out February 9th.

Rooted in her dedication to spreading messages of self-love and empowerment, ‘Closer To My Dreams’ displays Jackson’s equal devotion to following her aspirations in spite of the obstacles she faces, encouraging listeners to do the same. Written by Jackson and Michael Stockwell, the uplifting single reminisces on the impactful events throughout her earlier years that led her to eventually achieve her ambitions. Fuelled by her soaring vocals and a killer chorus, this instant hit intertwines shimmering pop production with crashing drums, flourishes of exhilarating electric guitar, and sing-along lyrics that stick. This is met with a euphoric sense of nostalgia, reflecting fondly on the early stages of Jackson’s avid career.

Maintaining the irresistible energy of her recent array of singles ‘Get Together’, ‘Fire In My Eyes’, and ‘Soldier,’ this pop gem once again solidifies Jackson’s undeniable charm in everything she does. ‘Closer To My Dreams’ adopts her trademark 80s-inspired sound, combining a rhythm destined to fill dancefloors with alluring sound effects. Listeners are set to be captivated and inspired, carrying the singer’s knack for melodic firecrackers to new heights.

‘Closer To My Dreams’ is fittingly followed by the release of Jackson’s first novel, ‘How A Gangsta Rapper Made Me A Better Mom’, on February 14th. Jam-packed with humour, heartbreak, and a relatable depiction of motherhood, the debut novel follows the life of Star Roberts, a stay-at-home mother on the brink of global stardom whose life is flipped upside down when her husband unexpectedly dies, leaving her with a legacy to run. Star is then faced with a constant struggle between prioritising her family or pursuing her passion. Based loosely on Jacson’s sublime success story of chart-topping hits and collaboration with Snoop Dogg on No. 1 single ‘Live It Up’, it aims to launch an inspiring message that “it’s never too late to live your dreams”.

Speaking on the book to ReVamp Magazine, Jackson revealed a future ‘How A Gangsta Rapper Made Me A Better Mom’ sequel (or two) and an upcoming album in the next year: “This book is actually planned as part of a trilogy. But it’s also a musical book. So when the audiobook comes out, a full musical soundtrack that I wrote will be integrated into the story.” If this glittering debut novel and electrifying first unveiling of the soundtrack are anything to go by, Jackson has her sights set on a riveting 2024.

With the titles of singer/songwriter, entrepreneur, TV presenter, mother-of-four, and author under her belt, Stacey Jackson continues to set an inspiring example for stay-at-home mothers. Since shooting to fame after launching her music career at age 40, Jackson rose to chart success with the release of her debut single. She has gone on to release four albums and a string of impressive singles and recently relaunched ‘Live It Up Rebooted’ featuring Snoop Dogg in June 2021 for the celebration of its 10th anniversary. The hit was elevated to new levels, featuring brand-new mixes that included the Pink Pandas. She has also worked with Papa Levi and high-profile dance music producers and remixers such as C-Rod and Dave Audé.

Stacey’s glamorous appeal and bubbly TV personality has seen her grace the cover of Stately Magazine and feature in the likes of METRO, Daily Express, Music News, Yahoo! and Jewish Telegraph. Whilst embarking on stadium tours, Stacey strides out in her signature high heels and hot pants, setting audiences alight with her star quality. With an impressive career under her belt that continues to skyrocket, Stacey Jackson is living proof that all your dreams can be achieved. ‘Closer To My Dreams’ is out February 9th.
