Rawle the doll feat. gairsandGod- Funky Sunday
April 2020- Rawle the doll recently teamed up with gairsandGod in order to release a new exciting collaborative project, “Funky Sunday.” This song has a very catchy rhythm and a melodic flow, which sets the bar higher in terms of energy and appeal. One of the most amazing things about this song is definitely the way that it seamlessly blurs the divide between various genres and styles, including funk, rock and even blues, only to mention but a few.
GairsandGod is able to go through smooth vocal hooks and fantastic wordplay with cat-like reflexes, going from a very warm tone that gives this release its distinctive edge. These collaborators certainly know a thing or two about how to keep things interesting and engage the audience with every note. If you enjoy artists such as Eric Clapton, SRV, or BB king, you are definitely going to love this release. The track has a sound that makes me think of old-school blues rock legends, but there is also so much more to it, bringing a modern feel to the music.
