Portland Oregon queer dance label Koritsi Komma Records launches with first full length LP

Koritsi Komma Records is a dance music record label based out of Portland, Oregon. Their aim: to raise the visibility of queer party music in the Pacific Northwest and abroad.
Koritsi Komma Records (Party Girl Records in Greek) is the realization of a lifelong vision of Sappho, aka Megan Andricos. As an impressionable and young PNW raver in 1995, Megan saw the seismically feminist film Party Girl, which synthesized her love for nightlife culture, music, and the library world. With nearly three decades of experience as a DJ, party promoter, and an information sciences worker/ volunteer, Andricos started KKR to be a label that exists to elevate club culture through music, events and media. KKR is a queer run, electronic focused music label based out of Portland Oregon. It’s main aim is to raise the visibility of queer party music in the Pacific Northwest and abroad.
The label is launching with the release of the singles “Higher Love” and “All I Want Is You”, with remixes by Portland producers Perfect Health and Natasha Kmeto. The singles are from the soon to be released 2021 LP, The Desire Suite, by Sappho & Damon Boucher.
“Higher Love” is the first single from Sappho & Damon Boucher’s forthcoming LP, “The Desire Suite”. The deep and minimal techno track is driven with a bubbling bass line, invoking the feeling of a dark and hazy club scene full of lust. Vocals and synthesizer punch through to juxtapose it with a light airy feeling, balancing the track’s emotional core.
