NEW SINGLE from Steph Morin – Time For Goodbye
After releasing ‘’Believe’’ in Fall 2016, singer-songwriter Steph Morin is back with ‘’Time For Goodbye’’, a new single announcing the release of his upcoming album ‘’Last Train’’.
Like many of us, Steph lived the experience of losing a grandfather, being at this moment in the hospital room in the company of his father and uncles. It was quite an emotional moment, and he was shocked to see these strong men completely broken around their father’s bed. Out of that came this song, which he wrote thinking ‘’what would I say if I were the one who lost his father on that day?’’. It shows how precious are the little moments with the people you love and how wrenching it is to experience that ”last goodbye” moment.
At first, Steph was reluctant to include this highly personal song on the album, but something magical happened in the studio as the recording process took place. The deal was sealed when Andre Proulx blew through his tremendous violin solo, giving chills to the entire production team. Everyone knew at this point that this new recording would become a really moving song.
Steph Morin started out playing cover songs on the Montreal music scene a little more than 15 years ago. He released his first French-language solo album in 2013, which he produced with Josh Kaler (Slow Runner) in Charleston, SC.
After a break from music, he traveled to Asbury Park, NJ, hanging out with local musicians in the same inspirational place where his heroes (Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen) had begun their careers. It was there that he started the writing process of ‘’Last Train’’, his new album.
Steph is currently in studio with his talented friends from a well-known local band called Raffy, and he is finishing his rock album set to be released later this year.
