Atlanta, GA: Atlanta-based indie rock artist Marco Restrepo released his latest single, “F Jam,” on August 23, 2024. The track is a distorted mid-tempo punk rocker that draws inspiration from the experimental sounds of Nirvana, blending grit with thought-provoking lyrics. The song delves into themes of questioning, being questioned, and embracing defiance in individuality.
“Talking about Jam and Jelly came out of the fact that the song was a riff I came up with in F,” Marco shared. “Once I had that, I had to make it make sense.” True to his DIY ethos, Marco performed all the instruments on the track, showcasing his multi-instrumental talent.
“F Jam” marks the sixth single from Marco’s forthcoming album, “Whatever,” set for release on September 26, 2024. The album, his first official release in nearly a decade, promises a fresh collection of genre-bending tracks. “This is my first official album release in nearly a decade, so I’m excited to have a new body of work out there,” Marco said. When asked about fan expectations, he humorously added, “Fans? I don’t think I have many, but I hope by now people who enjoy my music have learned to not expect anything but the unexpected… and maybe catchy hooks and melodies.”
