“Good Times” – Shane Palko’s fourth independent release
Good Times is Shane’s fourth independent full-length release. The songs are positive and folksy. This album showcases acoustic and full-band arrangements, tasteful instrumentation, sweet harmonies and poetic lyrics.
It was recorded by Shane and about twenty friends on an eight-track reel-to-reel tape machine over the course of one coffee-ful month. They took their time and found the perfect settings and gear for each song. The process was such fun that the album basically named itself.
Shane asked Don Grossinger to master it. He worked with many of Shane’s favorite artists in the ‘70s and still masters using tape, so it was a perfect fit. He called back quickly, saying, “This is a project I would love to work with; I am glad to be on board.” The album is now being pressed to CD and sent to digital distribution partners.
December 15th, 2012 will mark the release of the album. In January Shane will leave his native Pennsylvania for another New England tour. In February, he will return to Southeast Asia to play more shows. The future is very musical and largely unwritten.
