The topics of this song are: mental health problems in general, social anxiety, but also self-reflection and improvement as a person. The song was recorded in February 2023 at Rayn Prod.’s studio in Remscheid, Germany, and was mixed and mastered by Rayn Prod. himself.
STYKS commented: “Hurting was written in February 2022. At this time I was struggling a lot with myself because of many mental health issues. The topics of this “hurting“ are: mental health problems in general, social anxiety, but also self-reflection and improvement as a person. At that time, the track helped me to deal with the problems I was facing and to stay true to myself. Finally one year later in Feb 2023 I decided to go to a trip to Remscheid (near Cologne, Germany) to record the track at Rayn Prod.‘s studio where it was mixed and mastered by him as well. I hope you’ll enjoy”.
