What is a habit you are learning to develop as you get further in your career?
As we get further in our career, we have gotten into the habit of keeping our creative momentum going. We do this by practicing our instruments regularly, writing new material as often as we can, listening to new and different styles of music, and keeping up with social media in order to come up with ways to produce better content that stands out. Developing this habit has helped us to push our limits in terms of artistry and work ethic.
Is there any specific moment you’ve had that changed your life and you’ve used it in your music?
Interestingly enough, each of our songs is about a specific moment, feeling, and/or situation that we express in a language that everyone can understand. It can often be difficult to use words alone, which is one of many reasons why we love sending our messages through music. You could say that writing music is our way of keeping a journal of our lives that we share with others.
What’s the latest production that’s happening for you?
We’re releasing a special single this summer, and we’re also planning to return to the stage this fall! As stoked as we are to announce everything to the world and shout about it on the rooftops, we’re keeping the details under wraps for now. But we definitely have a lot of great stuff coming up in the near future.
Do you let the music rule your life when you’re deep into a project?
We absolutely do! We are always so passionate once we get started on a new project that it borders on impatience, and it is almost impossible to put it aside for later. Reisha especially forgets about sleep and meals and leaving her house whenever she comes up with a new plan for us.
How do you keep mentally balanced through it all?
Playing music is what we love doing the most, so we still use that as our way of relaxing and staying sane. Also, thinking about how far we’ve come and how much farther we can still go keeps us focused and grounded.
Can you leave us with a motto you want to be known for?
“We’re here to make you jump and dance while you question how you make life decisions.”
