Melding and Mixing together melodic Jazz and Rock tones and underscoring them with hard-driving rhythms is budding artist Person Natalie’s true forte, and with a refreshing new album, she is ready and psyched to succeed.
Los Angeles, California – July 14, 2021 – An up-and-coming phenomenon, Person Natalie is a budding producer and saxophonist/songwriter who is on the right track to solidify her position within the diverse and fast-paced musical scene of the Jazz and Rock industry. With unique and enriching compositions that encompass moving Jazz tunes and lyricism to soul-stirring and authentic songwriting, the growing powerhouse of talent is driven to reach new heights.
With her latest release, ‘Dark Horses and Yellow Canaries’, Person Natalie provides listeners with an album of incredible experimental jazz-rock fusions and bluesy elements, a fortunate product of a personal pandemic project to challenge herself to greater heights and depths of musical expression.
‘Dark Horses and Yellow Canaries’ is designed to fit one’s every mood, with a perfect mix of enigmatic, introspective and stark songs juxtaposed with bright, chirpy and saccharine-sweet tracks to balance it all out.
Inspired by greats such as Stanley Clark, Miles Davis and Ginger Baker, Person Natalie designed her newest album to be soul searching, contemplative, uplifting and serve as a healthy escape to listeners who are in search of something to resonate with.
“I would like to draw more attention to the wonderful art of jazz music and the challenges and demands it can inspire us to meet,” says Natalie, “And I would like to motivate the younger generations to consider and listen to more jazz and jazz-inspired music.”

About
Growing up in a very musically diverse family in Southern California, Person Natalie started out learning to read music and play the violin at age six. She played in various jazz-related bands at school and she also played gigs professionally with her father’s top 40 band for a number of years. Although she sings and plays the keyboard, Person Natalie considers her cherished Yamaha alto saxophone her primary voice with which to express herself musically.
Like many musicians from various genres, she listens to and appreciates all kinds of music including rock, country, R & B, world music, and jazz. In 2004, a couple of years of jazz studies and lab ensemble at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo really sparked in her a desire to dig deeper into jazz. Some of her favorite jazz musicians she draws the most inspiration from are Coltrane, Shorter, Freddie Hubbard, Miles Davis, Norah Jones, Herbie Hancock and Donald Fagan. She hopes to delve further into writing and producing more jazz-fusion and improvisational jazz for her future releases.
