Award-winning songwriter, producer, and country-rock outlaw Drew Smith peels back the curtain on a slow burning relationship between “Exes” in his new single, available everywhere now. Written with Rob Snyder (“Six Feet Apart,” “She Got The Best of Me” by Luke Combs), “Exes” is clever, catchy, and possesses the classic rock flair that Drew Smith continues to deliver in country music.

“‘Exes’ is about that breakup aftermath – some bitterness, some regret, going back to each other and remembering the good and bad,” says Drew Smith. “It was a fun song to record and I’m stoked that it’s finally out.”
Embodying tumultuous feelings of the good, the bad, and the ugly, Drew Smith personifies passion and vulnerability in the reminiscent track that he co-produced with Russell Jackson. From tracking to mixing, the RIAA Gold-certified songwriter had a part in the entire creation of “Exes,” truly showcasing his dynamism and sheer musical talent.
“My favorite line in the song is ‘A bettin’ man would’ve bet his land that what we had was gonna make it,’” continues Smith. “I think that line really captures the initial realization and shock of it being over with someone you really thought you would be with for a very long time.”
“Exes” is available now on all streaming platforms. “Not only are we on Drew’s team, but we are huge fans of his work,” states Dawn DeJongh, owner of Burning Ground Entertainment. For more on Drew Smith, visit www.drewsmithlive.com and follow him on social media @drewsmithlive.
