WVYC-FM is an FCC regulated radio station at 88.1 FM or streaming online at WVYC.Radio or at TuneIn.com or with the TuneIn App. WVYC-FM has served as the Voice of York College since 1976. The student-run radio station gives students hands-on experience in all aspects of radio including on-air, sports play by play, promotions, and event planning all under the guidance of a full-time professional manager. WVYC is an integral part of the college community hosting numerous campus activities each semester including the annual College Radio Day that features live concerts all day long. WVYC is nationally recognized for its award-winning programming. WVYC has recently been recognized by the Broadcast Education Association, Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters and College Broadcasting Inc. with numerous awards. WVYC operates out of newly renovated Studios that reflect the industry standard for equipment. A visit to the studios, on the top floor of the Student Union Building, can open the door to a career in Broadcasting. The Radio Station serves as a training arm of the Mass Communications Department but all students are welcome to participate both on and off the air.
