Amy Corey is telling the world to “Stay Fierce”
Adopted from Da Nang Vietnam, then growing up in Cleveland Ohio, and Ashland Oregon, to starting her music career in Nashville TN, Amy Corey is now going worldly with her new anthem single “Stay Fierce”.
At 22 years old, Amy Corey is becoming the “Face of Internationalism” as she climbs to the top of the world as a Recording Artist, Songwriter, Public Speaker, and Mental Health Advocate.
Written with Bill DiLuigi back in 2017, Amy first released a country/pop version of ‘Stay Fierce’ as her first single introducing her to the country/pop world, that quickly set up the bones to her fast-paced career that led her music and story to be recognized by fans and hard hitters in multiple industries including Dolly Parton and songwriters who have written for Blake Shelton, James Arthur, Brad Paisley, Craig Campbell, Gabrielle Aplin, Tim McGraw, James Bay, Gary Puckett and the Union Gap, Jerrod Nieman and many more. As well as public figures such as Gary Vee, Dr. Oz and executive producer of ‘Top Gear’ and ‘The Grand Tour’, Andy Wilman. Now with the help of her longtime producer/manager Kent Wells (known for his work with Dolly Parton) Amy has boldly recreated the song into a worldly anthem that she wants to be “genreless”, with the hope that it can relate to everyone around the world.
From the lyrics “Rock bottom’s a good place to start, you’ll figure out who you are” to “show off your scars, and they’ll start listening” to the hook “stand tall, stay fierce” Amy puts every fierce saying she has told herself throughout her life. Going through and overcoming, adoption, bullying, depression, eating disorders, self-harm addiction, loss of her adoptive mom, and more throws than you’d expect anyone to have to go through. After it all Amy chose to “Stay Fierce” and has been in recovery from self-harm addiction for over six years, Amy is using her message and story to her power in helping others “Stay Fierce” and hopes that she can bring understanding to the misunderstood and healing to the hurt through her story and fierce way of telling it.
Along with this new single and ambition to leave her name marked on the world, Amy announced in August 2019 that she signed a separate exclusive booking deal with an agent in her homeland of Vietnam and will start her “Stay Fierce/Coming Home Tour” in Vietnam this year and will return regularly. Not only is this one of the biggest achievements in her career, but it also hits Amy personally as it will be the first time “Coming Home” to Vietnam since she was adopted, and Amy is ironically flying back not only on the release day of her single but also on the day Amy was adopted. Amy will tour Vietnam in November and then continue statewide both in music and public speaking for the rest of the year and into 2020.
Amy Comments “I am so thankful for my career so far, but I am not where I want to be… I keep pushing forward and I use my past failures and achievements as power for the future, I stay true to myself in being different and pushes past anything that people may think about me. I’m a tiny person, but I do have a big story and I just want it to bring a little more positivity, happiness, and fierceness in the world… This release and tours are a big step in creating more bones in making a difference and leaving the legacy I want in this world.”
