Ed McGee, a native of New Hampshire, gained prominence as a singer-songwriter and rhythm guitarist with the Ohio-based jam band ekoostik hookah. Over his nine-year tenure with the band, McGee performed alongside legendary artists such as Willie Nelson, Arlo Guthrie, Bob Weir, and Bruce Hornsby. In 2018, he released his first solo album, Alexander III and Other Stories, which featured collaborations with Steve Sweney of ekoostik hookah, Ward Scott of The Shantee, Pat Kenney of One Under, and other musical colleagues.
After relocating to Sharon, VT, McGee recorded his second solo album, The Life In Their Bones, an acoustic compilation of older, unrecorded favorites from his extensive catalog. McGee continues to write and perform music across New England and regularly returns to the Midwest for both solo acoustic and full band performances.
