The Providence multi-instrumentalist is back again, this time with an interesting mix of alternative and mainstream sounds. OVERLOOK discovers the ideas of betrayal and fear of loss while using Alternative Hip-Hop, R&B, and Emotional Lyricism. Jon Prata himself said this about the sound:
“It’s refreshing, it truly is. I don’t believe you can fully encapsulate the feelings and tone of OVERLOOK without those alternative sounds. They really just help to develop an understanding of the emotions displayed”
The EP includes 6 songs, for a runtime of 12 minutes and 50 seconds. The tracklist is as follows.
COURT//YARD
GUMDESK
//CNTRL
REST UP
ORCHIDS
FLOWERS IN THE GRAVEYARD
“It’s my best material to date, I want it to be accessible, the shorter runtime is intentional” Jon said.
