Ever since attending his local church in Grand Rapids, Michigan, multicultural hip-hop artist Steven Malcolm embarked on a path of producing message-driven music, blending two worlds of commercial rap, Christian pop music, and reggae.
The career of Steven Malcolm wasn’t the case of having a childhood dream; it’s about a life’s calling, a purpose, and believing in yourself and your craft. Throughout his career, Malcolm depicted his journey with a self-titled album in 2017 and a follow-up project ‘Second City, in 2019.
Presented as 5x GMA Dove Award-nominated hip-hop artist, Steven Malcolm kicks off this Summer with the release of his third studio album, ‘Tree,’ featuring freestyle-delivered rhythms, with a star collaboration on ‘Summertime.’
As the project’s focus track, ”Summertime’ carries heavy West Coast inspiration, so it would only make sense to feature the King himself. You guessed it, Malcolm joined forces with Snoop Dogg.
That’s not everything. The last track on ‘Tree’ titled ‘Fuego (R3HAB Remix)’ features Mr. Boombastic – Shaggy. As a record in its entirety, ‘Tree’ has it all; your summer anthems, dancehall-infused bops as well as world-class flows like”Accelerate” and “Red Light Green Light.”
