From a young age, S.P.O.T.’s parents introduced him to all genres of music, including Gospel, Reggae, R&B, Soul, and Funk. He then performed as a break dancer with a local group who composed a song based on A Tribe Called Quest’s “Scenario” which encouraged him to write his first verse. His first solo recording was a collaboration with one of the top DJs in The Netherlands, DJ DCS in a single titled “Life Is What U Make It”. Since then, he has written many songs and released music that has led him to gain popularity.

S.P.O.T. is a multi-talented Hip Hop artist and songwriter with exceptional talent from Brooklyn, NY. S.P.O.T. has collaborated with other musical artists such as Louie Rich, and Moe Flava. During his professional career, he has performed in several places such as The Pyramid-NY, The 5 Spot-NY, The African Poetry Theatre-NY, Planet Hollywood-NY, Club Cheetah-NY, and Sputnik-NY. S.P.O.T., was born in East Flatbush-Brooklyn, New York. From a young age, S.P.O.T.’s parents exposed him to all types of music. They would play 45s and 12″ LPs of many genres including Gospel, R&B, Soul, Reggae and Funk. In the early 1990s, S.P.O.T., then called SpotLyte, performed as a b-boy (break dancer) with a local group.
