What is your artist name or what name do you go by?
My name is Alonzo Gardner. But people usually call me Lonzo.
What city do you represent?
I represent New York and I’m from Harlem.
What got you started making music, or your craft?
I was always interested in doing media. I’ve always loved acting and always being in front of the
camera. I got introduced to Photography in the fall of 2018 when I started doing iPhone
Photography and I immediately knew I wanted to take it to the next level. As a growing artist, I
was always taught to give 110% to whatever it is that I desire to do. With my photography
reaching new heights now that’s been unprecedented for me so far. It’s important for me to
remember that when I first started doing this, it was just a hobby for me. I had absolutely no
idea that this career-path would’ve opened doors for me to connect with celebrities,
businessmen, entrepreneurs, and all types of connections. But now, it’s become part of a
lifestyle for me.
Any goals you want to achieve this year?
I want to start amassing in $5,000 a month from my rental cars. I want to have an effective
system where I can rent out my two cars (C300 and Q50) and still be able to work on my
projects simultaneously. If I can have a set system where I can rent my cars out for
photoshoots/videoshoots, then I’m going to be moving very dangerous come 2022/
Anyone you would like to work with?
I would love for an opportunity to work with several groups of people. The All-American Cast,
Will Smith, Steve Harvey, Chris Tucker, WizKid,
Any up and coming artist you look up to or would like to shout out?
A couple of artists, def shout out to Capella Grey, a very humble dude. I loved his energy when I
met him. Shoutout to my guy, DJ Drewski, always showing love to LonzoFlicks at the events. I
would love to get an opportunity to work with as many young artists as possible on designing
billboards, doing studio shots, composing music videos, doing visual work for sets, etc.
What is the most recent project you’re working on?
The most recent project I’m working on is capturing billboard shots for upcoming artists and
elevating LonzoLuxuries L.L.C. to a whole different realm. Since my involvement in the industry
is on the rise and I’m networking with more and more artists by the day. My goal is to take over
the industry as the leading photographer and to make LonzoLuxuries L.L.C. the biggest rental
conglomerate in the world.
Any big news you would like to share?
I would like to announce my rental business LonzoLuxuries L.L.C. where I recently had two new
pickups with a fully loaded Mercedes-Benz C300 and a 2018 Infiniti Q50 3.0t. These two cars are
now available for rent and media purposes.
What struggles do you go through as an up and coming artist?
Honestly, one of the biggest struggles that I’ve had as an upcoming photographer is trying to
distinguish myself from such a saturated field of other photographers. Sometimes, I feel like I
have to keep pushing, I have to keep going harder at what I love to do hosting-wise,
photography wise, media wise, acting wise to be the best thing that I can possibly be.
How do you overcome these struggles?
One method that I use to overcome my struggle is just me seeing 5-10 years into the future and
seeing all my work and hustle being paid off. Right now, I’ve come to the realization that not
everybody is going to like you for who you are and not everybody is going to accept you. But the
most important thing is that you must accept yourself.
