We had the opportunity to interview up and coming dance talent Jodeci Nicole.

Jodeci Nicole
What city do you represent?
I represent Brooklyn born & raised.
What got you started on your craft?
I was very inspired by Ciara the singer when I was younger and that’s what made me want to dance to be just like her.
Any goals you want to achieve this year?
This year my goal is to keep training in dance and to collaborate more with dancers and artists.
Anyone you would like to work with?
I definitely would love to work with different upcoming artists. We are all in this together.
Any up and coming artist you look up to or would like to shout out?
I would love to shout out my mentor Shadae Hyde. She was my very first dance teacher who has trained me since I was 14. She deserves all the credit for my growth as the artist I am now. She was someone who always believed in me.
What is the most recent project you’re working on?
The most recent project I’m working on right now is with an makeup artist I am collaborating with.
Any big news you would like to share?
The big news I have to share is to just watch me shine! 2022 here I come!
What struggles do you go through as an up and coming artist?
As an artist the struggles I go through is self doubt. Sometimes I can be very hard on myself but then I remember who I am and that there is nobody like me in this world. Nobody can do what I can do.
How do you overcome these struggles?
I over come these struggles by reminding myself who I am. I’m one of a kind. I have one life to live might as well give it all I got.
