The Dwindles are from St. Catharines, Canada. With multiple layers and dimensions this indie troop resonates with fans who enjoy everything from chill dream-like guitar pop to fans of heavier fuzz drenched garage rock.
Formerly known as “Holodais’, The Dwindles have been back playing gigs including the In The Soil Festival, The Niagara Art Centre and their first Toronto show since 2019.
The Dwindles are a 4 four piece group consisting of founding members by Kyle MacVicar and Stuart Smith. Other members include Tania Alcantar and Chase Chappell.
After moving to Canada from Mexico City with her band ‘WolfGang’ in 2020, Tania started working with The Dwindles in the late summer of 2021.
In the past they have released multiple singles and two EP’s. They have been featured on radio stations such as CILU 102.7fm, KUCR 88.3fm, WRFI 88.1fm, CFRU 93.3fm as well as online music blogs such as Fuzzy Sun, Last Day Deaf, From The Strait & Independent Music Blog.
Their live show highlights have been sharing the stage with other Canadian indie acts such as Men I Trust, Anemone, New Swears and Goodbye Honolulu.
The Dwindles have an upcoming self-produced EP being released July 31. The EP was entirely produced at The Dwindles Studio by founding members Kyle MacVicar and Stuart Smith in late 2021 and 2022. The self-titled EP is full of satisfying neo-psychedelia rock that emphasizes atmosphere and sonic texture.
The Dwindles have already released one single from the EP with “Cozy” which was featured on indie music channels such as Fancy Melancholic & Indie Music Nation as well as coverage from Roadie Music Blog.
Their next single and video “Chance” will be release released July 26th.

In support of the EP The Dwindles will be on the road playing more shows in Toronto at venues such as The Horseshoe Tavern and Sci-Fi themed venue ‘See-Scape’ and well as other major Canadian cities. More TBA.
