Blanks combines youthful pop with retro nostalgia in Favourite Nightmare
Following his release of the song ‘Sweaters’, Blanks Music has dropped his latest track ‘Favourite Nightmare’.
The sound of Blanks in this track may be likened to the love child you’d get if DNCE had a tryst with Owl City and Who’s Molly? behind the bike shed. He combines a youthful pop sound with a retro feel, and the bouncy bassline keeps your feet moving.
It’s a bit of a cheeky breakup song…you can almost hear Blanks smiling as he’s singing the lyrics. He’s definitely not playing the part of the guy that is sad to see you go in this one, but at some point in the future when we are able to enjoy a night out with a bit of dancing, this one will definitely be on the playlist.
